Mr Fenton
Thank you for your email to the NWDA, which has been passed to me for response. Unfortunately, I have only just received this so apologise on behalf of the agency for the lengthy delay.
I read your suggestion with interest and I will forward a copy to the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board. However I suggest, funding for a proposed new railway across the moors to Darwen Tower would not be feasible due to the large amount of capital required to build and the potential cost of running such an attraction. In addition to the financial issues, environmental considerations would also be difficult to overcome.
Thank you for your correspondence.
Yours sincerely
